OUR PROGRAM
Creativity
Activities for structured and free time are implemented to promote creative and imaginative abilities.
Music
There are opportunities for social and emotional development through music activities. Stories and music in general contribute greatly to the child’s emotional world.
Perceptual development
Activities that focus on the manipulation and exploration of educational play and learning equipment, such as puzzles, building blocks, and pegboards, are used to develop early reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
Outside play
There are sufficient activities in place that contribute to physical development through movement and outdoor play.
AGE GROUPS
3-4 YEARS
Our 3- to 4-year-olds are the youngest learners at the school. Our daily program is offered according to well-structured themes and interactive activities. Here, the learners can learn through play without it feeling like formal learning.
GRADE RR
The lively 5-year-olds are prepared for Grade R because Grade R awaits!

We pride ourselves on small classes, ensuring that no child is left behind.
GRADE R
The older learners in the preschool are now ready for “Big School.”
At Trichardt Preschool, the CAPS curriculum is followed. Additional programs are incorporated to holistically prepare the child for their formal years at the primary school. We also offer computer classes to familiarize learners with technology.
Transition from Grade R to Grade 1:
We gladly support social worker Ms. Tarina Hattingh, who works in collaboration with Educational Psychologist Ms. Igna Beukes and other therapists to empower Grade R learners who feel uncertain, providing them with the proper preparation and guidance for the transition to Grade 1. You are welcome to contact the practice or read more for additional information.

They create a safe, stimulating learning environment where development occurs through play and loving guidance. SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
We offer a project each term where parents and children can enjoy the activity together.
POPPETEE
Parents set the children’s tables nicely, and we teach our learners table manners as well as socially acceptable behavior during mealtimes, both with the food and the conversation around the table.
DRIVE-IN MOVIE
Here, dads get the opportunity to build a vehicle with their child using recycled materials. The children then enjoy a movie from their vehicles, and of course, there’s a Slush Puppy and popcorn.
GRANDPARENTS’ DAY
Our little ones are spoiled by the most important people in their lives and spend precious time with their grandparents.
ATHLETICS
Always a highlight on our calendar. Parents can get warmed up in advance, as the relay baton is handed over with great anticipation…
RUMBLE
Fundraising for our hostel: Here, every child gets the opportunity to participate in various activities. Each child matters as they earn points for their class.
POPLAP NETBAlL
A fun and playful program that introduces young girls to netball.
RAMMETJIE RUGBY
“Rammetjie Rugby” at our preschool is a fun and energetic program that introduces young boys to rugby in a playful way.
DIPLOMA
CEREMONY
Every Grade R learner’s dream - and their parents’ too. They complete their phase in preschool and are ready to step confidently into Grade 1.
Extra Activities
Our preschoolers have the opportunity to participate in various enriching extra activities that develop their creativity, self-confidence, as well as fine and gross motor skills. These activities are offered during school hours and are at an additional cost.
